It’s a Tifton holiday tradition!

The 2017 Tree of Life Lighting Ceremony was held on Dec. 7 at Tift Regional Medical Center.  Sponsored by the Tifton Junior Women’s Club, the event included a poignant candlelight service, live holiday music, a complimentary meal and a visit from Santa. Over 300 participants were in attendance.

Hospice of Tift Area patient Marion Greene and his family were highlighted in a special video presentation.  Mr. Greene, who is from Tifton, also gave a few remarks at the ceremony and conducted the honorary “flipping of-the-switch” which illuminated the tree.

With proceeds benefiting patients of Hospice of Tift Area and the TRMC Anita Stewart Oncology Center, lights on the Tree of Life can be purchased in honor or memory of a loved one.  Donations are being accepted until the end of December.  Visit www.tiftregional.com/TOL for more information. As donations are still coming in, a final total has not been announced, but preliminary totals are over $16,000.
