Seniors Invited to a Free Seminar on Health Promotion and Fall Prevention September 11th

Tift Regional's NICE Club for Seniors invites all people over age 55 to a free seminar titled "The Art of Aging Gracefully Through Health Promotion and Fall Prevention." This event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 10:30 am - 2:00 pm, at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center.

Falls are a major public health problem in the elderly population. The associated health care cost is great. It has therefore become an important public health matter to evaluate those interventions that might be effective in reducing the risk of falls. Risk factors that predict an increased risk of falling will be covered in this free seminar.

Come early (10:30 am – 11:45 am) or stay after lunch (1:00 pm – 2:00 pm) for small group education stations featuring resources for staying independent:
