Colony Bank Names J. Mike Davis Tifton Market President, Names Butch Davis to The Community Advisory Board

Colony Bank is pleased to name J. Mike Davis as Market President for Tifton. He will be joined in Tifton by Patricia Brooks, who comes to Colony as a Commercial Banker.

Commenting on the announcement, Heath Fountain, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "It is my pleasure to welcome Mike back to the Bank. As a third-generation banker, Mike brings to Colony and Tifton two decades of banking experience, an in-depth knowledge of our banking products and strong support for the community. His solid foundation for understanding our customers and the business community makes Mike well suited for his new role with Colony Bank, and we know that our customers in Tifton will remain in experienced hands under his leadership.

"We also are excited to have Patricia join our Bank," Fountain added. "A seasoned professional, Patricia brings more than 25 years of banking experience in the areas of finance, management, deposits and lending. With her addition, we continue to build a strong team to deliver a range of essential services for our customers."

Separately, Fountain noted that Butch Davis, Mike's father, has been appointed to serve on the Community Advisory Board for the Tifton market. He is a lifelong member of the Tift County community and has more than 50 years of banking experience. "Butch has built his entire career in banking, accepting and excelling in many significant leadership roles. As the former President, Chief Executive and Chairman of other local banks, his expert knowledge coupled with his deep passion for the community will make him a valuable member of our advisory board."

Mike Davis began his banking career in 1996 at Colony Bank, serving the Sylvester community and assumed increasing levels of responsibilities with another financial institution, serving as commercial lender, senior lender, and eventually President and Chief Executive Officer. Following his retirement in 2016, he seized an opportunity to work with the Prince family as general manager of their dealership in Tifton. With today's announcement, Davis' career comes full circle as he re-enters the banking arena, backed by a deep understanding of the Tifton market and years of experience – finetuned by studies at the University of Georgia School of Banking. Davis was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force and graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Georgia Southwestern State University. He and his wife, Deanna, have three children, Matt, Jared and Drew. He has been active with civic organizations, serving as past Chairman of the Tifton/Tift County Chamber of Commerce and the Tift County Foundation for Educational Excellence. He also served as past President of the Tifton/Tift County Rotary Club, the Tifton Sertoma Club and the Tift County High School Athletic Booster Club. Mike and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Tifton.

Patricia Brooks currently serves as a Board Member for the YMCA and Ruth’s Cottage Patticake
House. She and her husband, Joe, have two children and three grandchildren. They attend Saint Anne's
Episcopal Church.

Butch Davis joined his father at the former Farmers Bank of Tifton, where he worked as a lender,
senior lender and eventually, President and Chief Executive Officer before retiring in 2011. He then
became Chairman of the Board of First Community Bank of Tifton. Butch attended Georgia Southern
University on a basketball scholarship. He and his wife, Jerri Young, have three children, Mike, Russ
and Lee, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They are members of First United Methodist
Church.
