Georgia Peanut Commission to Host 'Peanut Palooza'

The Georgia Peanut Commission plans to host a kickoff to summer Peanut Palooza on May 24  from 2-7 p.m. at the Georgia Peanut Commission office in Tifton.

The GPC office is located at 445 Fulwood Blvd. in Tifton. Members of the public are invited to attend the free event.

The family-friendly event will have everything from free boiled peanuts, fried peanut samples, Deb's Curbside Cupcake truck and a special appearance from Mr. Peanut. The afternoon will also include a DJ, opportunities for individuals to plant their own peanut plant, prizes and giveaways, photo opportunities for kids to sit inside of a tractor, a bounce house and more.

In addition to the outside activities, the GPC office will be open for extended hours to give attendees the opportunity to visit the gift shop and take a tour of the building. The GPC building is one of the only energy-efficient buildings in Tifton.
