Legacy Village of Tifton, a premier assisted living and memory care community serving Tift County, recently honored caregiver Valeria Daniel for her 25 years of service with a surprise reception that included family members of former residents who were impacted by her care.

As part of the festivities on Nov. 23rd, Daniel was presented with gifts including a scrapbook full of best wishes from fellow team members, current and past residents and their families, and a special monetary award.

“Legacy Village of Tifton has a reputation as a wonderful place for seniors to live because of caregivers like Val. Our mission is to serve seniors with honor, respect, faith and integrity. Val lives by this mission daily, and for 25 years she has blessed family after family with her love, kindness and attentive care. We’re honored today to celebrate her as an important part of our Legacy Senior Living family,” said Bryan Cook, Co-Founder and President of Legacy Village of Tifton’s management company, Legacy Senior Living.

Executive director Chris Beckham announced that the monthly Extra Mile Award, which is presented to an employee who exceeds expectations, will be renamed in Daniel’s honor for the Tifton community.

"Val Daniel is a wonderful and caring example of service above self. She is 100 percent resident-focused, and that's why our residents, their families and all of us love and respect her so much. If she sees something that needs attention, she gets it done, even if the job is not her responsibility. Val’s dedication and hard work have touched hundreds of residents and thousands of family members during her time here,” Beckham said.
