Students at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will be the beneficiaries of a new fundraising record set by the Office of College Advancement and the ABAC Foundation, Inc., during the 2021-22 year.

Dr. Deidre Martin, ABAC’s Chief Advancement Officer, said that ABAC received $3,873,210 in donations from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.

“Our supporters know that ABAC’s mission is important, and we are so honored that they choose to invest their contributions in the lives of our students,” Martin said. “I am very proud of our dedicated team of staff members.”

Martin said ABAC has had a 497 per cent increase in donations since 2015 when the ABAC Foundation received $648,568 in contributions. In 2021, the total had climbed to $3,265,206.

“We work hard every day to share the ABAC story with our supporters,” Martin said. “Through the support of our donors, we provide scholarships for students and support for programs across campus.”

The ABAC Foundation provides over $1,000,000 in scholarships to ABAC students each year. Classes are now underway for the fall semester at ABAC.
