With a week until Halloween, Southwest Georgians are heading out on the town for tricks and treats.

Here's a list of Halloween events around the area:

Albany:

Halloween Scavenger Hunt - October 26, 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.

The Haunted Forest

  • October 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-31, 8:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m.

  • Admission: $10 per person, children 6 and under get in free

Frightnights Haunted House

  • October 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 & 31, 7 p.m.- 11 p.m.

  • Admission: $10 per person, not recommended for children under 9

Tricks and Treats at the Flint RiverQuarium

  • October 27, 5 p.m.- 7 p.m.

  • Admission: $6 with costume, $8 without costume, members free

Trunk or Treat - Porterfield Memorial UMC - October 25, 5:30 p.m.

Ashburn:

Corn Maze and Flashlight Corn Maze - Calhoun's Produce

Cordele:

PS&P: Kids Halloween Painting

  • October 28, 3 p.m.- 5 p.m.

  • Admission: $10 per child (Only 20 spots available)

Douglas:

Hometown Harvest - October 26, 4 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.

Fitzgerald:

Halloween Blast - October 26, 4 p.m.- 6 p.m.

4th Street Trunk or Treat - Leesburg United Methodist Church - October 25, 6:30 p.m.

Moultrie:

Costume Contest at The Hen House - October 27 at 8 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Staggerwing Country Jamboree - October 27, 7 p.m.- 11 p.m.

Pelham:

Pelham Jamboree, Halloween Contest, Chilli Cookoff, Cake Walk - October 28, 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.
