Service Awards Presented to 45 ABAC Employees

Forty-five employees who have been a part of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for a combined 490 years were recently honored at the annual faculty-staff service awards ceremony on the ABAC campus.

Alan Kramer received an award for 25 years of service.  Kramer gave up his position as the men’s and women’s tennis coach at ABAC in 2013 to become the Assistant Dean of Students and to continue his role as athletics director.  He compiled a career record of 339 wins and 217 losses including a 191-110 record with the Fillies and a 148-107 record with the Stallions.  

Kramer won 24 Region XVII Coach of the Year awards and led ABAC to 24 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Championships, 14 with the Golden Fillies and 10 with the Golden Stallions.   Kramer’s women’s teams finished in the top 10 nationally 10 times, and his men’s teams finished in the top 10 nationally 12 times.  He was named the Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year for the Southeast Region in 2010.

Seven ABAC employees received awards for 20 years of service.  They included JoAnn Brannen, Nancy Brannen, Bernice Hughes, Donna King, Melanie Partlow, Lori Pearman, and Kim Spinks.

Recognized for 15 years of service were Robert Carpenter, Robin Crumley, Dr. James Galt-Brown, Dr. Todd Hicks, Rhonda Lewis, Dr. Barnabe Miburo, Alan Murphy, Keith Perry, Reba Selph, and Troy Spicer.
Ten-year award recipients were Tonia Carpenter, Todd Daunhauer, Gay Ann Hodge, Ana Martinez, Dr. James McCrimmon, Shawn Seat, Vicki Sherling, and Amy Warren.   Those recognized for five years of service were Kristin Beasley, Tammy Carter, Dr. Heather Cathcart, Trey Davis, Dr. Tamara Dennis, Amanda Dow, Johnny Folsom, Dr. Thomas Grant, Dr. Jan Gregus, Lynne Hoatson, Myra Jackson, Dr. Chris Kiser, Austin Lawton, Nathan Mumm, Grant Rentz, Lindsey Roberts, Allen Saylor, Yvonne Smith, and Jodie Snow.
