Donna Webb, the Director of Enrollment Management at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, recently received the prestigious Carol Nobles Distinguished Service Award from the Georgia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

GACRAO cites the Carol Nobles Award as a highly selective and rarely presented award that may be conferred either to current members of the Association whose contributions have been so extraordinary as to warrant special recognition while still active, or to individuals retiring from or leaving the profession whose contributions warrant special recognition. The quantified award involves a point system for considering nominees.

Webb has been involved in enrollment management for 25 years across the state of Georgia and South Carolina. She was named ABAC’s Director of Enrollment Services in 2008 after working as the Director of Admissions at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. In 2011, Webb became the Director of Enrollment Management at ABAC and continued to aid students in the admissions process.

Webb said she was honored to receive the award, crediting its namesake for the path she took toward a successful career in higher education.  Webb served as the GACRAO President in 2014, a position Carol Nobles held in 1997.

“Carol was someone who I patterned my career after every step of the way,” Webb said.  “If she was leading a committee, I wanted to be on that committee. If she was doing a presentation, I was attending that presentation. I called her for advice and guidance, and she never steered me in the wrong direction. She helped me develop my love for higher education.”
