Tift Regional Health System Offers SRTC Class Interviews for Real-World Career Opportunities

Staff Report From Tifton CEO

Thursday, December 20th, 2018

Earlier this month, twelve representatives of Tift Regional Health System (TRHS) interviewed members of the Moultrie Licensed Practical Nursing(LPN) class for real job opportunities just steps from their classroom at Southern Regional Technical College(SRTC). The team from TRHS interviewed thirteen of the LPN students. The interviewers included professionals from a variety of nursing areas, including Dialysis, Pediatrics Clinic, Heart and Vascular Clinic, Emergency Department, Neuro Clinic, Orthopedic and Med-Surgical Units across the many facilities of the Tift Regional Health System.

Each of the students were given an opportunity to interview with more than one area in order to gain a better understanding for which branch of nursing might be the best fit for their career goals. Of the experience, TRHS Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Dr. Indera Rampal-Harrod said, “TRHS is thrilled to partner with SRTC on recruiting initiatives.  This is a great opportunity to showcase the talent within our Region.  We are very fortunate to recruit from this population of students who have demonstrated a true resolve for the Nursing profession and their commitment to our community.” The interviews resulted in four students accepting job opportunities that were offered on the spot, and many others making valuable connections within the burgeoning medical community of Southwest Georgia.
