Prospective Students Can Tour ABAC Campus on February 2nd

Staff Report From Tifton CEO

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019

Prospective students and their families can take a stroll on the beautifully landscaped brick pathways at Stallion Day on Feb. 2 at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.  During their visit, they can learn more about the college and what it has to offer.

During this recruitment day event, high school students from all over the state and surrounding states come together to tour the college and see how ABAC can be a door to their futures.  There is no charge for visiting students.

The morning begins with registration at 8 a.m. in the Donaldson Dining Hall, followed by ABAC Ambassador led campus tours.  During this one-day event, Gressette Gymnasium will showcase Club Connections from 9:30-10:45 a.m., allowing visitors to learn about the variety of clubs on campus.

Campus tours will continue throughout the morning, and information sessions will be held for students and parents, including financial aid and scholarship information, as well as a tour of the ABAC Lakeside freshman housing complex.  Students will be allotted time to stop by the different academic schools of study and learn more about many different academic programs and highlights, based on their area of interest.

A free lunch for visiting students will be provided in the dining hall.  For other guests, meals are available at a cost of $6 per person.  Visiting seniors will have the chance to take home prizes at the luncheon but students must be present to win.  Prizes include one $500 tuition waiver, two housing application fee waivers valued at $235 each, and a one semester meal plan valued at $1,500.

There is no charge for prospective students for this event.  Those who wish to attend should sign up ahead of time at http://www.abac.edu/future-students/visiting-campus/stallion-day.  For questions regarding Stallion Day, prospective students can contact the Office of Admissions at (229) 391-5004.
