Hospice of Tift Area will be presenting a free continuing education webinar titled "The Tasks of Mourning After 35 Years: Why They Are Still Clinically Relevant" on Nov. 19 at 12:00 pm. Hospice of Tift Area is located in Tifton at 618 N. Central Avenue.

This Hospice Foundation of America webinar program features expert speaker J. William Worden, PhD and moderator Ken Doka, PhD, MDiv. This program is valid for 1.5 hours of CE credit. The CE cost is $9 per certificate.

Dr. William Worden’s Four Tasks of Mourning model is a significant addition to the field of grief and bereavement. Join Dr. Worden, a pioneering researcher and clinician, in conversation with Dr. Kenneth Doka to discuss how this model has evolved over time and how professionals can utilize the model in a wide range of bereavement situations.

At the end of this presentation participants will be able:

-Understand the origin of the Task Model and its evolution over 35 years.

-Compare the Task Model with other current models.

-Understand the Mediators of Mourning and how they supplement the Task Model to make it more clinically useful.
