Nixon Manna Drop Announced for March 21st
Monday, March 16th, 2020
The Nixon Family is celebrating 95 years of continuous service of Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home by hosting a “Manna Drop”, food basket distribution, on Saturday, March 21 at 8:00AM.
Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home is a third-generation family business in Tifton. “We are excited about the opportunity for us to give back to the community,” stated Solomon Nixon, Jr, Licensed Funeral Director and third generation. “We will be providing a manna drop which is a food basket giveaway for low and fixed-income families on Saturday, March 21 at 8:00AM. It will be similar to the commodities program; we will be able to serve over 100 families.” The baskets will be a large box of mainly non-perishable food and stable (nonrefrigerated) foods that can feed a family for about a week. The food donation will be on a first come, first served basis. Those families that are interested in receiving a box are encouraged to arrive early as these will probably go very fast.
The theme of Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home’s 95th Anniversary year is, “Generations of Our Family Caring for Generations of Your Family”.
