The Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation recently donated $15,000 to the Tiftarea YMCA in Tifton.

“These funds will be used to provide nourishment for the Tiftarea YMCA’s after-school and summer feeding program,” said Mandy Brooks, Executive Director/CEO of the TRMC Foundation. “The program begins with daily devotions, nutrition, time for tutoring, homework, and outdoor enrichment activities and games. Speaking engagements from community leaders are encouraged, as it allows the children to learn about different professions in our area. The summer feeding sites will serve over 2,000 meals per week. This program has added two extra locations for a total of five sites for 2023.”

Brooks said the TRMC Foundation is excited to partner with the Tiftarea YMCA on this worthy project.

The TRMC Foundation supports various community endeavors, including the donation of medical equipment to local and surrounding county emergency medical services.
