The Wild Hog Supper, a cherished tradition that has kicked off the Georgia General Assembly’s legislative session for more than 60 years, returns on January 12, 2025.

Established in 1962, this annual event brings together legislators, lobbyists, local officials, and community members. Join us as we gather to celebrate Georgia's #1 industry, the food bank network's ties to the agriculture industry and the start of the legislative session.

In 2012, the Wild Hog Supper transitioned into the care of Feeding Georgia, a network of seven regional food banks committed to alleviating hunger across the state. Through partnerships with farmers, food producers, and communities, Feeding Georgia sources fresh, nutritious food for those in need, supporting thousands of families annually.

The event now serves a dual purpose: celebrating Georgia’s agricultural heritage and raising critical funds for the Feeding Georgia Farm to Food Bank program, which connects fresh produce from Georgia farmers to families in need. In 2024, Georgia farmers generously donated over 32 million pounds of fresh, nutritious produce to support the fight against hunger across the state.

The 2025 Wild Hog Supper will bring together the Governor, Lt. Governor, members of the General Assembly, and the public. Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper will co-host the event with House and Senate Agriculture Committees Chaired by Representative Robert Dickey and Senator Russ Goodman Guests will enjoy Southern culinary favorites, featuring BBQ pork and a selection of esteemed local delicacies, while networking with elected officials, community leaders, and supporters of Georgia’s agricultural sector. The event provides a platform to highlight the significant contributions of Georgia farmers and their role in feeding families through Feeding Georgia’s Farm to Food Bank program.
