Synovus Bank has promoted Peter Crowley to Tifton market leader, effective March 3.

Crowley will lead banking teams in offering strategic and customized financial solutions to clients in the region and support the bank’s community outreach initiatives. He will report to Jim Manley, Synovus market executive. 

“Peter’s strong roots in the local area and his expertise in commercial banking will serve him well in leading the Tifton team,” Manley said. “We look forward to Peter and the team continuing the bank’s decades-long tradition of providing superior service and innovative solutions to our clients and giving back to the community through a variety of outreach initiatives.” 

Crowley joined Synovus in 2022 as a credit risk manager, helping lenders manage their portfolios. Before this role, he spent five years as vice president of commercial credit at South Georgia Banking Company. Crowley also served as a bank examiner for the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance for six years. 

In the community, he formerly served as vice chairman of the planning and zoning board for the City of Tifton.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and economics from Valdosta State University and is an honor graduate of the Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia.
