Southeastern Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer E. Michael Gudely recently presented scholarships to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College students Jaylee Bass, a biology major from Adel, and Nicholas Rosatti, a history and government major from Hahira.
““Receiving the Foundation Scholars Scholarship initially meant that I could pursue my dreams of earning a higher education,” said Bass. “Once I stepped on campus at ABAC, I realized that this scholarship would allow me to go far beyond what I could have imagined.
“It has given me the opportunity to represent ABAC as an Ambassador, allowing me to meet prospective students and be an advocate for this amazing college and all that it stands for. My family and I are humbled at the generosity of my donor that has opened a number of new doors for my future.”
Rosatti said, “The ABAC Foundation Scholarship has facilitated the advancement of my education in more ways than one. I’m extremely grateful we have donors who invest in us and give us one less thing to worry about while in school.”
Southeastern Credit Union is based in Valdosta with six branch offices and more than 29,000 members. The company is committed to serving members by providing the best financial products and services to improve their quality of life.
“It’s always a pleasure to make monetary gifts to institutions of higher learning when those dollars go to deserving scholars,” said Gudely. “It is, however, particularly gratifying to have the opportunity to meet the young people who benefit from these scholarships and see first-hand how the collegiate learning experience is impacting their lives.
“Southeastern is very proud to be associated with ABAC. It’s a great college distinguishing itself with terrific programs that prepare students for tomorrow.”
