Kumon Math and Reading Center of Tifton is Now Open and Seeking Enrollments

After seeing the success his nieces and nephews were having in the Kumon Math and Reading Program, Naeem Khan decided to enroll his own preschool daughter. The only problem—the closest Kumon Center was an hour away. That meant driving his daughter two hours—round trip—twice a week just so she could be enrolled in the program. After seeing the direct impact it made on her development, he decided to open his own Kumon Math and Reading Center in Tifton, Georgia.
"I was really interested in enrolling my daughter in Kumon because I saw how it helped children reach their full potential and didn't limit them to their grade level," said Khan, owner and Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Tifton. "I knew that I couldn't be the only parent who wanted this for their child, which motivated me to open my own Kumon Center for the community of Tifton. My ultimate goal is to make a difference in the community and I believe I can do that by challenging children to become confident, independent learners."
The Kumon Method empowers preschool to high school aged children to become self-learners and is designed to advance math and reading skills while fostering a love for learning. It goes beyond traditional tutoring by actively developing critical thinking skills as children progress independently through a carefully crafted curriculum.
There are 63 Kumon Math and Reading Centers in the state of Georgia. The new center opening in Tifton is part of Kumon's 2018 expansion plan of welcoming 100 new franchisees nationwide.
"As parents continue to prioritize educational opportunities outside of the classroom in order to compete in today's competitive environment, Kumon is committed to delivering the highest quality of education to as many children as possible," said Larry Lambert, vice president of franchise recruitment at Kumon North America. "We are fortunate for the opportunity to bring the benefits of the Kumon Math and Reading Program to the community of Tifton."
