Tift Regional Medical Center held its annual Heart Champions’ Luncheon on Feb. 14 at the Tift Regional Community Events Center.  This free function, which celebrates patients who are overcoming cardiovascular disease and/or have survived a cardiac event, included a complimentary lunch and an educational seminar by heart specialist Dr. Anthony Burke.   

A board-certified invasive cardiologist, Dr. Burke practices with Affinity Clinic and performs procedures at the TRMC Heart and Vascular Center.   Dr. Burke discussed women and heart disease and how the symptoms of a heart attack can differ from men.   This event was sponsored by the TRMC Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Wellness Center.   Thanks to all of the Heart Champions who attended!  We salute you on Valentine’s Day.
