Staff Report From Tifton CEO

Monday, March 5th, 2018

Embark on a cinematic journey with violinist Jared Starr and pianist Andy Lagrimas as they perform musical masterpieces of the silver screen for violin-piano duos on March 15 in a 7 p.m. performance in Howard Auditorium as a part of the ABAC Presents! Performing Arts Series at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

ABAC Arts Connection Director Wayne Jones said the audience will experience an evening filled with the heart-wrenching emotions of “Schindler’s List,” the theatrical fireworks of “Fiddler on the Roof,” and the sublime romance of “Sabrina” as this powerful duo pays musical tribute to Hollywood’s most legendary music composer, John Williams.

Starr is a professional violinist, teacher, and composer who has played for audiences across the United States and internationally.  Lagrimas is a faculty member in the School of Arts and Sciences at ABAC who taught music courses in the New York City Department of Education before coming to ABAC.

Tickets will be available at the door for “A Night at the Cinema” at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for students who are 18 and under.  For tickets, interested persons should call the ABAC Arts Connection Ticket Line at (229) 391-4895.

Saxophonist Tim Green will perform with the ABAC Jazz Ensemble on April 19 in the final event of the ABAC Performing Arts Series.
