A service of Tift Regional Health System, Affinity Pediatrics will be holding a Patient Appreciation Day on May 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  The festivities for children will include a dunking booth, bounce house, face painting, games, door prizes, giveaways and more.  There will also be complimentary hot dogs and chips as well as live music.   The general public is invited to this free event.

“This is a day to celebrate children and their health,” said Robin Rust, practice manager for Affinity Pediatrics.  “Along with our partner in Irwin County, Ocilla Pediatrics, we are the largest pediatric provider in the region.   We appreciate the trust and support we receive from local parents, and this event is a way to say thanks.”

The Patient Appreciation Day will be held at Affinity Pediatrics, located at the Cypress Pointe Professional Park in Tifton at 39 Kent Road, Suite 5.   Registration is not needed and attendees are not required to be patients of the practice.

“We are also using this event to remind parents to schedule their child’s annual wellness exam,” said Rust.  “Many people don’t realize that Medicare, Medicaid and most health insurance carriers cover a wellness exam with no out-of-pocket expense to the patient.  Pediatric wellness checks allow parents and providers to create a team approach to healthcare, which promotes the developmental, emotional and physical health of the child, and allows pediatricians to learn more about each individual child.”
