PBL Students Recognized with Top Honors

The Georgia Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) South District Conference was held February 22 at Central Georgia Technical College in Macon. PBL members from the southern district attended this exciting conference to enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and participate in business and business-related competitive events.
All eight students in attendance from Southern Regional Technical College’s Tifton campus chapter placed in at least one event. Winners are as follows: Timothy Hodnett of Tifton– 1st in Cybersecurity and 4th in Networking Concepts, Luke Goodroe of Doerun – 1st in Help Desk, and 3rd in Organizational Behavior & Leadership, Nikki Smith of Tifton – 2nd in Networking Concepts, Demarcus Jones of Tifton – 2nd in Management Concepts and 2nd in Organizational Behavior & Leadership, Kiana Williams of Tifton – 1st in Financial Concepts and 1st in Financial Services, Tammie Holey of Tifton – 1st in Retail Management and 1st in Justice Administration, Angel King of Ty Ty – 1st in Microeconomics and 2nd in Business Decision Making, and Courtney Draughon of Tifton – 3rd in Computer Concepts. These students will now be competing at the Georgia PBL State Leadership Conference April 5-7, 2019 in Atlanta.
Additionally, all four students in attendance from Southern Regional Technical College’s Thomasville campus chapter placed in at least one event. Winners are as follows: Thomas Tran of Thomasville, —1st place Network Design, Reather Venable of Cairo—1st in Project Management, and 3rd in Market Analysis & Decision, Brittany Daniels of Thomasville, 1st in Hospitality Management and 2nd in Human Resources, and Shaelasha Simons of Thomasville brought 1st place to the chapter for “Battle of the Chapters.”
