Wilson Honored for 35 Years at ABAC

Shirley Wilson, Administrative Associate in the Office of Athletics and Recreational Sports, was honored for 35 years of service at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College during the recent service awards ceremony in Gressette Gymnasium.
ABAC President David Bridges presented the award to Wilson, who received a standing ovation from the faculty and staff in the arena.
“I just love my job,” Wilson said. “I absolutely love coming to work every day.”
Those employees honored for 30 years of service included Cindy Barber, Dr. Mary Ellen Hicks, and Wayne Jones. Twenty-year service awards were presented to Dr. Renata Elad, Philip Hightower, and Beverly Wesley.
Fifteen-year service award winners were Emily Cheek, Teri Mathis, and Debbie Pyles. Honored for 10 years of service were Dr. Kingsley Dunkley, Dr. Cyndy Hall, Robbie Hawsey, Joseph Johnson, John Layton, Mickie Tompkins, Amanda Urquhart, and Donna Webb.
Dr. Audrey Luke-Morgan was honored for seven years of service. Receiving recognition for five years of service were David Bass, Adam Brumfield, Tim Carpenter, Shubha Chatterjee, Kitty Davis, Sue Dees, Kaycee Jones, Dr. George Lowerts, Dr. Franzelle Mathis-Pertilla, Sara Mumm, Dr. Justin Ng, Pooja Patel, Lisa Pryor, Dr. Russell Pryor, Daniel Sollenberger, Jessica Swords, Kaci West, and Dale White.
