TRMC Foundation Donates Transport Van
Friday, January 17th, 2020
The Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Foundation recently donated a shuttle van to Southwell for the use of transporting patients to and from TRMC, especially during the construction phase of the hospital's new tower and ER. The van is operated by volunteers and Southwell is accepting applications for additional volunteer drivers. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to call TRMC Volunteer Services at (229) 353-7590.
The funds were made possible due to generous contributors of the TRMC Foundation through the “Hearts and Diamonds” Gala.
“We are excited to provide this convenient service to our patients at Southwell," said Mandy Brooks, Executive Director of the TRMC Foundation. "We strive to deliver excellent transportation services from the parking lots on the facility grounds."
Last year’s "Heart and Diamonds" Gala fundraising effort raised over $120,000 benefiting our local community. This year’s event will be held on February 22, 2020 at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center from 7 p.m. until midnight. The evening will include a seated dinner, silent auction, dancing and a diamond giveaway. To purchase tickets or learn more, please call the TRMC Foundation at (229) 391-3310.
