Golden Sworn Onto Historic Preservation Commission

Mayor Julie Smith officially swore Justin Golden into office for the Historic Preservation Commission during the April Tifton City Council session.
The HPC began in 1988 in response to apartment buildings going up near the Fulwood Garden Center, according to previous Tifton Gazette reports. The Historic District is bounded by Prince Avenue, 12th Street, the railroad tracks along Forrest Avenue and the railroad tracks past Ninth Street.
