Colony Bank today announced that Jason Morris has joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Ashburn Market President.

Jason has over 15 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector. Most recently, he served as Market President for Synovus Bank in Tifton, GA. Prior professional experience includes serving as Vice President, Commercial Banker at Synovus as well as Branch Manager and Loan Officer at AgGeorgia Farm Credit. Jason owned and operated Jason Morris Insurance Agency in Adel and Moultrie, GA for six years and was the Manager of Morris Agricultural Service in Ocilla, GA for eight years. 

Commenting on the announcement, Eddie Hoyle, Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer, said, “With deep roots in our community and a strong understanding of both the financial and agricultural industries, Jason is very well suited to serve as our Ashburn Market President. We look forward to working together to further strengthen the relationships and services provided to the Ashburn market.”

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics from the University of Georgia and an Associate in Business, Business Administration from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He currently serves as the Chairman for the Eterna Fund, University of Georgia College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences Alumni Board. He is active with the Tift County Tip Off Club, is a broadcaster for the Tift County football games, and is a University of Georgia football fan. Jason, his wife, Monica, and two sons, Jason Cody and James, reside in Irwin County. They enjoy traveling and attending collegiate and professional sporting events together.
