City Needs Planning, Zoning Board Applicants

The Tifton City Council needs to fill vacancies on the planning and zoning commission after three of its members resigned in quick succession.
Julie Sharpe, Peter Crowley and Julie Lester all resigned from their positions on the board, with Sharpe wanting to spend more time with her grandchildren in Indianapolis, Crowley expressing an interest in moving on to a different position and Lester finding it too difficult to balance board duties with some of her other commitments, city officials said.
