County Breaks Down Demolition Projects

Despite its long-standing presence in the community, the old Midstep building, alongside other dilapidated and abandoned structures, is being considered for demolition.
County Manager Jim Carter told the Tift County Commission at a recent meeting that, with the aid of newly acquired funds from the American Rescue Plan Act, the county would be able to move forward with plans to remove and demolish abandoned and derelict buildings.
