Tifton City Officials Celebrate the 100 Year Anniversary of Henry Tift's Passing

On Friday, the City of Tifton celebrated the 100-year anniversary of the death of Henry Harding Tifton, Tifton's founder.
Exactly 100 years ago on Friday, Henry Tift died at the age of 80 following a stroke. His death came 50 years after he had settled in the area destined to become the City of Tifton and named in his honor.
