Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Ga. will begin its 2024 Season with the new Dinosaur Explore attraction, the park’s annual Easter celebration and new experiences to enjoy throughout the year.

Wild Adventures opens for the Season on Friday, March 15 with the new Dinosaur Explore, an immersive attraction that showcases over 50 towering, moving and roaring prehistoric giants.

"Nothing quite sparks the imagination like dinosaurs,” said Jon Vigue, vice president and general manager. “The new Dinosaur Explore allows our guests to step into the ancient world and come face-to-face with incredible giants that used to roam the Earth.”

The new Dinosaur Explore attraction is nestled in the Wanyama Botanical Gardens and features a fossil dig and special appearances from Dino Keepers.

"Everyone who visits Dinosaur Explore can take their photo with some amazing and life-like animatronics, dig for fossils, and learn even more about these amazing creatures from our Dino Keepers who may be accompanied by a baby dinosaur or even a roaming velociraptor,” said Vigue. “The whole experience is immersive, educational and, of course, fun.”

Dinosaur Explore is a limited-time attraction that will run through Labor Day, Sept. 2, 2024.

The new Season at Wild Adventures also marks the return of Special Events, beginning with the Easter Eggstravaganza on March 23, 24 and 30, which will feature hunts for thousands of candy-filled eggs, photos with the Easter Bunny, and a search for a special painted ostrich egg to win two 2024 Gold Season Passes.

Additional special events throughout the Season include the Wild Adventures LIVE! concert series, the new Wild Faith Weekend, Celebrate America Festival, Wild Food Weekends, Great Pumpkin LumiNights, the new Wild Adventures Christmas Wild & Bright and more.

In 2023, Wild Adventures made significant investments into special events, particularly holiday events, and that will continue in 2024 with new additions to Great Pumpkin LumiNights and Wild Adventures Christmas Wild & Bright.

"Last year, Wild Adventures Christmas Wild & Bright grew to become the biggest Christmas celebration in Georgia, and we are adding even more lights and holiday cheer this Season,” said Vigue. “From our opening day to the end of 2024, we are providing fun, thrilling and new experiences for families to enjoy again and again.”

Wild Adventures’ 2024 Season officially begins Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. Current 2024 Season Passholders can enjoy early access to the park during Passholder Preview Night on Thursday, March 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Splash Island Waterpark, which is included with admission to Wild Adventures, opens on April 6.
