“The 2023-2024 legislative session was a historic success that will be remembered for years to come. We thank each member for their dedication in advancing pivotal policy reforms, such as Certificate of Need reform and transformative education freedom that will enhance the quality of life for residents across our state.

“The scorecard is an opportunity to grade lawmakers’ votes throughout the legislative session, and thank our policy champions who fought for freedom and opportunity for Georgians. We encourage each and every Georgian to utilize this tool and familiarize themselves with how their elected leaders represent them in Atlanta.

“As the next legislative session approaches AFP-GA remains committed to building on the achievements from the previous session as we continue to ensure the Peach State remains the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

The scorecard grades lawmakers on how they voted on 14 bills including the following top 3 priorities for AFP-GA during the 2023-2024 legislative session:

  • HB 1339- This bill removes Certificate of Need barriers for new hospitals in rural counties, new substance abuse and psychiatric facilities, freestanding birth centers, and hospitals that had previously closed and are attempting to reopen.
