  • Nevada is the most sleep-deprived state- averaging 464 searches per 100,000 residents per month

  • Georgia is the fourth most sleep-deprived state, with 409 searches per 100,000 residents

  • “Insomnia” is America’s top search term, Googled an average of 458,155 times per month

A new data study from Pure CBD Now reveals the most sleep-deprived states.

The research conducted by Pure CBD Now, a leading fungi retailer, analyzes all 50 US states based on the number of times each state Googles a keyword related to sleep deprivation.

The data includes 65 search terms, including; “can't sleep,” “how to fall asleep,” “how to cure insomnia,” “insomnia symptoms,” “sleeping pills,” “trouble sleeping,” and “I want to sleep by my body won't let me.”

The number of searches for each term was then added to give a total for each state. This was then compared to the population to calculate the number of searches per 100,000 people.

Nevada is the most sleep-deprived state, generating an average monthly search volume of 14,833 and 464 per 100,000 residents.

Nevada’s top search terms are “insomnia,” “how to fall asleep,” and “sleep aids.”

New York is the second most sleep-deprived state, with 442 searches per 100,000 residents. The state generates an average of 86,533 searches per month.

The top search terms are “sleeping pills,” “how to fall asleep,” and “insomnia.”

Oregon ranks third. The state searches for sleep-deprived-related terms an average of 18,255 times per month, with 431 searches per 100,000 residents.

Oregon's top search terms are “sleep aids,” “sleep disorder,” and “insomnia.”

Anthony Bautista, CEO of Pure CBD Now, has commented on the study findings,

“Many Americans lead hectic lives, juggling work, family responsibilities, and social activities, which can leave little time for adequate sleep.

“Addressing sleep deprivation often requires a combination of lifestyle changes, such as improved sleep habits, stress management techniques, and sometimes medical attention.

“It's important for individuals to prioritize sleep for their overall health and well-being.

“Therefore, several things can be done, such as avoiding heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime, reducing exposure to blue light from electronic devices, and trying to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day.”
