Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences has announced a significant update for prospective nursing students with the rollout of the ”Ahead of the Herd” Guaranteed Acceptance program.

"Our goal is to provide the best educational opportunities for our students, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of the health industry,” said Dr. Jeffrey Ross, Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. “We’re proud of our program’s success rate, particularly our recent 100 percent NCLEX-RN pass rate from our Spring 2024 graduates and our 100 percent employment rate for graduates."

The “Ahead of the Herd” program offers aspiring nursing students who meet the program requirements a secure path into the college’s prestigious ASN nursing program. Those requirements include being accepted to ABAC, submitting an application to the ASN nursing program, maintaining an overall and nursing grade point average of 3.2 or higher, and completing all the required prerequisite courses.

“This program allows students who meet all of the academic prerequisites the peace of mind to know that they have a seat,” Ross said. "We are dedicated to maintaining the high standards of education and support that have long been a hallmark of ABAC. This exciting opportunity reflects ABAC's commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in nursing education.”
