ABAC Tribute Series Opening with 70’s Rock Revival: The Troubadour Project on Oct. 22

The ABAC Tribute series will open on Tuesday, October 22 with 70s Rock Revival: The Troubadour Project at Howard Auditorium.

Hailing from Atlanta, 70s Rock Revival: The Troubadour Project performs favorites by Carole King, The Eagles, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Foreigner, Queen, the Rolling Stones, and more.

The six-person band, made up of Jim Stapley and Jessie Albright on vocals, Scott Patton on guitar, Tim Smith on bass, Eric Baumgartner on keys, and Paul Barrie on drums, boasts a playlist that celebrates the decade that shaped the landscape of modern rock.

"This group is one of the most dynamic celebrations of the music of the 70s I’ve ever seen,” said Wayne Jones, Arts Connection director. “It’s a fantastic production and phenomenal music.”

The ABAC Tribute series presents original artists and tribute bands representing some of the greatest performers of rock, soul, country, and rhythm and blues.

The opening concert will be followed by "A1A – the Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show” on Tuesday, January 21 and “The Highwaymen Show: American Outlaw Tribute” on Thursday, April 3.

All ABAC Tribute Series events begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
