M. Drew DeMott, a partner in the firm’s Savannah office, has over twenty years of experience litigating civil disputes throughout Georgia and South Carolina.  He routinely handles trademarks and trade secrets matters, complex commercial and banking disputes, and cases involving secured transactions and negotiable instruments. Mr. DeMott also routinely litigates fiduciary matters, business torts, breach of fiduciary duties among business partners and enforcement of restrictive covenants.

Michael Eric Hooper, a partner in the firm’s Albany office, practices in the firm’s Wealth and Business Planning Group. His expertise lies in taxation, trusts and estate planning, corporate law, partnership law, probate and the administration of estates and trusts, including the preparation and filing of federal estate and gift tax returns. Mr. Hooper has extensive experience in most areas of planning needed by businesses, such as the formation, organization and dissolution of entities. Mr. Hooper regularly advises clients on business succession planning, including the purchase and sale of businesses and professional practices. Mr. Hooper’s expertise also includes: (i) income, estate and generation skipping transfer taxation, (ii) the creation, modification and termination of trusts, (iii) mergers and acquisitions, and (iv) buy-sell agreements.
