Friday, June 13th, 2025
Students from Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) showcased their exceptional skills at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate National Leadership Conference in Dallas on May 31-June 2. Three students from SRTC’s FBLA-Collegiate chapter competed at the National level after placing first at the Georgia Spring Leadership Conference in March. The students were accompanied by four FBLA Advisors from SRTC: KaCee Holt, Kathie Mathis, Carol Peppers, and Carrie Viohl.
Dolores Bradley, a Business Healthcare Technology student, competed in Impromptu Speaking.
Renee Gray, an Accounting student, placed second in Organizational Behavior and Management.
Wilson Petithomme, a Business Management student, competed in Public Speaking and placed 8th in Hospitality Management.
The conference also brought special recognition to SRTC's FBLA program when advisor Carol Peppers was inducted into the National FBLA Advisor Wall of Fame. This prestigious honor recognizes advisors who have dedicated a minimum of 20 years of service to FBLA and have gone above and beyond in their role. Besides years of service, nominees must meet rigorous requirements that highlight their exceptional impact and service to the FBLA organization and its members.
"Being recognized alongside such dedicated educators from across the nation is truly humbling," said Peppers. "Watching our students grow into confident business leaders and seeing them succeed at the highest levels of competition makes every year of service worthwhile. FBLA has given me the opportunity to shape the next generation of business professionals, and I'm honored to continue that mission."
Peppers' induction into the Wall of Fame reflects her unwavering commitment to developing student leaders and her significant contributions to FBLA's mission of preparing students for careers in business and business-related fields. Her leadership has been instrumental in SRTC's continued success in state and national FBLA competitions.
The strong performance by SRTC students at nationals, combined with this recognition of their advisor's dedication, demonstrates the college's commitment to excellence in business education and student leadership development.
