An evening supporting Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College scholarships is on the horizon with “The Luck of the Stallions” at An Evening for ABAC 2026. This event will be held Feb. 28 at the Tifton Conference Center, and doors open at 6 p.m.

Dinner, a live auction and dancing will set the stage for a memorable night. Color the Night, a dual-vocal band, will energize attendees with pop, rock and soul hits.

“The atmosphere at An Evening for ABAC is absolutely contagious. It is an unforgettable night filled with excitement and fellowship as the community comes together to support our students,” said Lynda Fisher, director of alumni and special events in ABAC’s College of Advancement.

Tickets are $150 for singles and $275 for couples and can be purchased by calling 229-391-4895 or visiting www.abac.edu/evening. A portion of each ticket is tax-deductible. The deadline to purchase tickets is Feb. 15.

ABAC is proud to have an incredible group of event sponsors: Colquitt Regional Medical Center; Southwell; Rick and Sandy Bostelman; Mitchell EMC; South Georgia Medical Center; Georgia Farm Bureau; Synovus Bank; South Georgia Banking Company; Southeastern Credit Union, Valdosta; Premium Peanut; Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, South Georgia; AgGeorgia Farm Credit; and Holcomb JL Holdings LLC.

Event sponsors play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of An Evening for ABAC. Sponsorship opportunities range from the Legacy Sponsor level at $25,000, which includes support for six scholarships, to the Summa Cum Laude level at $20,000, also supporting six scholarships. Additional levels include Magna Cum Laude at $15,000 for five scholarships; Cum Laude at $10,000 for four scholarships; President’s List at $5,000 for two scholarships; and Dean’s List at $2,500 for one scholarship. Reserved tables for eight guests are also available for $1,750.

In addition to participating in sponsorship opportunities, ABAC alumni, community and industry partners have donated items to both a silent and live auction. Participants must be present at the event to participate in the live auction, but the silent auction will be available online beginning at noon Wednesday, Feb. 25. There will be over 40 items available in the online auction. All proceeds from the silent and live more than go to support student scholarships. Participants may bid in the silent auction or make general donations at www.abac.edu/evening.

Artist and ABAC alumnus Cris A. Lawson is adding a special element to An Evening for ABAC by painting an original, ABAC masterpiece during the celebration. “The painting will be of a rare occurrence combined with an iconic ABAC symbol,” Lawson said, offering a hint about the live piece.

An Evening for ABAC is hosted by the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Foundation, Inc., which was organized to advance the cause of education. Proceeds from the event provide scholarship support that empowers students to pursue their dreams and achieve academic success. Since hosting its first event in 1972, the Foundation’s annual tradition and multifaceted initiatives have contributed to 55% of ABAC students graduating without student loan debt.
