Tift Theatre to Perform Hairspray Show June 19-21 & 26-28

The Tift Theatre for Performing Arts is set to perform the Broadway Musical Hairspray two weekends in a row, opening this Friday, June 19th. 

The play is based on the New Line Cinema Film that was originally written and directed by John Waters.

The Tift Theatre’s version of the show is directed by Richell Hart, musically directed by Kezia Larry (Tift Theatre Manager), and is choreographed by Elli McMillan and Timothy Goins.

Admission is $10 for each night, and tickets are already available at purplepass.com. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door. The list of dates for performances are: 

• June 19-20 @ 7PM 

• June 21 @ 3PM 

• June 26-27 @ 7PM

 • June 28 @ 3PM

Originally opened as a circus-themed cinema, the historic 600-seat venue serves as a cultural hub hosting stage performances, concerts, movies, and community events.
