Georgia CORE Announces Four New Members of its Board of Directors

Georgia CORE is excited to announce the addition of four members to its
Board of Directors:
-Debora S. Bruno, MD, MS — Thoracic Medical Oncologist, Medical Director of Clinical Research at City of Hope Cancer Center-Atlanta
-Marcy A. Cent, MBA — Director of Oncology Services at AdventHealth-Georgia Region
-Dr. Vamsi Kota, MD — Professor of Medicine, Director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program, Interim Associate Cancer Center Director for Clinical Research at Wellstar Georgia Cancer Center
-Charles E. Moore, MD — Professor and Eminent Physician at Emory University, Chief of Service for Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Grady Health System, and Director of the Emory Urban Health Initiative
“We are incredibly fortunate that the caliber of our board members continues to be exceptional,” said Georgia CORE President & CEO Lynn Durham, EdD. “The level of expertise in our leadership has always been a laudable asset of this organization, but as more of the oncology community gets to know us, the more diverse our board becomes in profession, perspective, and locality.”
The board also elected as its chair for the FY2027 fiscal year Amelia A. Langston, MD, Professor and Executive Vice Chair, Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Langston has served on the Georgia CORE board for seven years and is a longtime champion of its mission.
