Summer will last even longer this year. Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute will perform at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College's Howard Auditorium Oct. 1, pairing the classic Beach Boys sound with a long list of hits.

The concert will be at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 plus taxes and fees. The concert is the first of the season for the ABAC Tribute Series.

Sail On has long performed songs from the Beach Boys, a band with an extremely deep catalog of chart-toppers and highly respected deep cuts.

Among the songs in the Sail On setlist are hits “I Get Around,” “Help Me Rhonda” and “Good Vibrations,” as well as timeless classics “California Girls,” “Surfin' U.S.A.,” “In My Room,” “Don't Worry Baby,” “God Only Knows” and “Wild Honey.”

Band member Mike Williamson told the Newnan Times-Herald in 2024 that he saw a multigenerational appeal to the music. “Seeing kids in the audience,” he said, “reaffirms the timeless appeal of the Beach Boys’ work.” The Beach Boys released their first single in 1961.

The appeal of Sail On’s performance has the ABAC community looking forward to the show.

“I’m especially excited for Sail On’s Beach Boys tribute because I got to see the Beach Boys perform at Braves Stadium when I was 10 years old,” said Ashley Braswell, development officer at ABAC. “I’ve loved their music ever since, and I’m looking forward to reliving some of those memories and enjoying all the classic Beach Boys hits with everyone at ABAC!”
