Southwell announced that Arvind Mudunuru, MD has joined Southwell Nephrology in Tifton. Dr. Mudunuru is a board-certified nephrologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney conditions. He will collaborate with fellow nephrologist Abduljalil Elfasi, MD as well as nurse practitioners James Mason, NP and Kasey Mays, NP.

“We are excited to have Dr. Mudunuru on board,” said Monica Morris, Director of Physician Recruitment for Southwell. “Dr. Mudunuru had been working with Southwell Nephrology in a locum tenens capacity, or in a temporary placement, but he is now with us on a permanent basis. We are very familiar with Dr. Mudunuru and the skilled and compassionate care he brings to patients with kidney disease.” 

Morris said that Southwell Nephrology works with the Tift Regional Dialysis Center in Tifton to provide a complete range of dialysis treatments and support services for patients living with chronic kidney failure, also known as end-stage renal failure. 

After earning his medical degree from ASRAM Medical College, Dr. Mudunuru completed internal medicine residency training at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and nephrology fellowship training at the Emory University School of Medicine. He most recently practiced nephrology in Atlanta with Piedmont Healthcare.
